Learn a little about COVID-19

New Coronavirus (COVID 19)

New Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronaviruses (CoV) are viruses that emerge periodically in different areas of the world and cause Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI), i.e. influenza, which can be mild, moderate or severe.

The new Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been classified by the World Health Organization as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). Infection occurs when a sick person coughs or sneezes and passes virus particles that come into contact with other people.

Response time is one of our fundamental elements to offer the best and most accurate service to our patients; therefore we reduce the amount of waiting time in attention and response.

What are your symptoms?

The new Coronavirus causes an Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI), i.e. a flu, which can be mild, moderate or severe. It can cause fever, cough, runny nose (mucus) and general malaise. Some patients may have difficulty breathing.

How to prevent it?

The most effective measure to prevent COVID-19 is proper hand washing with soap and water. Doing it frequently reduces the risk of getting coronavirus by up to 50%. Similarly, other preventive measures are recommended, such as:

  • Avoid close contact with sick people.
  • When sneezing, cover your elbow with the inside of your elbow.
  • If you have cold symptoms, stay home and wear a mask.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Ventilate your home
